I am Mary Kelly, singer and songwriter. I spent several years with Your Father's Mustache Band in Denver, Colorado but am now retired and live in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The Mustache Band was a traditional jazz band, which means just about everything popular in the 1920's, 30's and 40's, including Dixieland, Ragtime, Standards and Swing Music.  I also lived in Nashville for several years learning songwriting.

The Mustache Band is still playing in Denver at the Bull & Bush nightclub and brewpub. It originated at a nightclub in the 1970's called Your Father's Mustache which closed after a few years in business.  I sang with the band as a young thing, then I left Denver in 1980, and when I returned in 1995, they were still going strong, so I joined them again and remained their singer until November 2008. Those times were some of the best times I've ever had playing music, especially at jazz festivals and the "after-parties". I then went to Tacoma, Washington for two years to be close to my kids and grandkids, but I missed the sunshine, so in 2010 I moved coast to coast to Florida. I still spend some time in Nebraska and Colorado during the summers.

Even though I have been singing jazz for years, I listened to country music when I was growing up, and of course during my time in Nashville, so in June of 2005, I went back to Nashville and recorded a CD of the classic country hits I heard on the radio when I was growing up. This collection of tunes by women such as Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Connie Frances and others was released in 2006. It is available for downloading or purchase on
